Works for Me Wednesday - Toys

One of our absolute favorite toys started out as a baby shower gift. My friend Loni gave us a really cute basket that she had put together when SD was born. It in was some baby stuff, but since she is a mom, she knew that stuff for later on would be really useful. One of the items in there were these Baby Einstein cards. I put them in SD's closet for a long time and found them one day after we had moved. SD was about 2 at the time, so it seemed like a perfect time to pull them out. She absolutely loved them! When I was in the hospital having Linus, I bought about 4 more packages as gifts when SD would come visit us at the hospital. We have them in every bag and take them every where we go. They are a great "toy" to bring out when you are out because they are not noisy, messy or take up a lot of room. Oh, and not to mention the fact that they are educational. SD knows every picture that is on there and on the back of the card there are facts about the picture, which will extend their life well into SD's (and Linus of course) school time period!

Go check out more ideas at Rocks in My Dryer!
