My Dress Up Diva

SD has an entire box of dress-up clothes that I bought after Halloween two years ago on sale. (Thrifty-Erin side note: I was really excited because these costumes were between $10-$25 and I didn't pay more than $2 for them!!!) Anyway, yesterday when she woke up from her nap, we were playing in her room and she pulled them out and wanted to put them on. This is not a great picture, but you can see that she has the lady bug costume on (skirt and wings in the appropriate places, antennae are on her belly) and the pumpkin hat on her head! She tried to put the antennae on her head as well, but when that didn't work, she thought the around her belly seemed to be the next likely place for them to go.

Anyway, I couldn't stop laughing at her and thankfully I got a picture of the ensemble! Side note: she went to the grocery store with me looking like this except she had shed the pumpkin hat. She got tons of looks in the grocery store. Oh, and she had to wear her "bootiful" shoes (pink glittery jellies!, yes, they are back!).

BG was really excited that she went to the grocery store like that because he thought it would embarrass me, um no! I love seeing kids places and you just KNOW that they picked out their outfit!

I totally agree, not embarassing at all. People think that is CUTE!

Dude, jellies ARE back. I have seen them EVERYWHERE. I hope they are more comfortable than they were when we were kids.

I adore Jellies. I want some for myself. I had a pink sparkly pair that made me so happy. I think SD looks like a total diva in that outfit. Fitting title.

That's awesome. Brownie points for you for letting her choose and go to the store that way!
