Domestic Disaster

The past six months have been a domestic disaster. I have had to replace the following: vacuum, ironing board covers, washing machine and most recently my iron! Really, it is starting to get expensive. Not to mention getting used to my new gadgets. I used to love getting new stuff like that, but now it just seems to be a hassle. I used to buy new hair stuff (dryers, brushes, etc) all the time, it was like I lived for it. Now, I think my brush is 10 years old and my hair dryer is close. I sure home those don't start going out soon!

I can totally relate this this one. I've just started realizing how old some of our things are. Toaster, blender, crockpot...all wedding gifts. And they aren't getting replaced until they HAVE to.

Try having to replace the kitchen pipes AND the washer/dryer in a span of 2 months. :) AS IF my house wasn't ALREADY in disaster recovery mode....

*sigh*

I feel ya...

And they make appliances (small and large) so they only last a few years now - and it's usually cheaper to replace them than to fix them when they break. Ugh.
